Snowboard Mag
had a great time with us at Grenade Games 8.  They posted photo gallieries for
Day One and Day Two with a couple of animated GIFs to view for fun.  With words and photos by SKS, they stated that Grenade Games 8 was "Hands down one of snowboarding's best events."  And wrapped it up by saying, "I made more new friends this weekend than I did all winter. I saw more rugged falls this weekend than I did all winter. I haven’t seen that many people so excited to just ride with their friends and mess around, well, ever.  Seriously."

"Make sure you get your crew down there next winter as something this good rarely lasts forever."

We couldn't be happier that they left with that feeling.  Their description of Grenade Games is exactly what we strive for each year.

The 10-hour Raptor House Hack-A-Thon took place and GRENADE was brought into the house thanks to the KRUSH crew.  Hackers spent the day writing code and programs to generate songs for Fuel band wearers based on Nike Fuel Band tracks.  The event was broadcasted live in Times Square, NYC, crossing over to both the music and tech industries.  Grenade gear was given away by the KRUSH staff throughout the day to participating hackers.

Since most of the weekend seemed like blur, we're enjoying all the recap coverage that's out on the interwebs.  Just Google Grenade Games and you'll see how much it is blowing up.  But to save you a few mouse clicks here are some worthy websites.

GRENADE was stoke to welcome back artist James Haunt.  Again, this year, he spent the weekend crafting a sick Grenade Games inspired 16' x 8' mural.  We couldn't be happier with it.  See James Haunt's photo recap HERE.

And to close out this post we leave you with a performance by The Dirty Heads.  What a great show it was.  Thanks to Cameron Scott of FreezeTime Visions for putting this up.

Here are some media highlights from Grenade Games 8.

Grenade Games 8 was featured on the buzzing Radar Online:
"Demi Moore's rumored hookup Ben Hollingsworth (The Joneses ), Fuel TV star The Dingo (The Adventures of Dingo & Danny), Evan Williams (Grey Gardens) and heartthrob Rob Mayes (Jane By Design), hit Grenade Games 8 over the weekend at Bear Mountain. Pro snowboarder Danny Kass and The Dingo (also known for their show on Fuel TV) hosted the charity tournament to raise money for Road 2 Recovery, a non-profit organization that works to provide financial assistance to AMA licensed professional riders in the event they sustain career ending injuries."

Snowboarding.com reported celebrity sightings at Grenade Games 8.  More photos available HERE:

"
Grenade Games 8 took over Bear Mountain this weekend with action packed snowboarding competitions and music from the Dirty Heads. Olympic medalist, Danny Kass and The Dingo (also known for their show on Fuel TV) hosted the charity tournament to raise money for Road 2 Recovery, a non-profit organization that works to provide financial assistance to AMA licensed professional riders in the event they sustain career ending injuries. The Fuel TV stars also brought along a few of their celebrity friends to join in on the fun including Cameron Monaghan (Shameless), Ben Hollingsworth (The Joneses), Evan Williams (Grey Gardens) and Rob Mayes (Jane by Design).

After a long day of boarding (and being bombarded by all the snow bunnies…and the mothers trying to set him up with their daughters), Cameron Monaghan downed Monster Rehab for a quick pick-me-up while Evan Williams preferred to refuel with BODYARMOR after a day of shredding with the boys.

Although he stuck close to his girlfriend all weekend, heartthrob (and rumored Demi Moore ex) Ben Hollingsworth was also a hit with the ladies while waiting for the Dirty Heads to come on stage.  BFF’s Evan Williams and Rob Mayes enjoyed a serious bro-mance weekend with their new boarding buddies, Danny Kass and the Dingo.  Williams and Mayes took note from their snowboarding “bro” style and rocked matching New Era caps and Skullcandy headphones

Examiner.com had a nice plug for the Games.  Saying:

"The Grenade Games are as much about partying as they are about snowboarding as more people spent the day on Bear Mountain's deck than actually snowboarding. Power 106 provided the tunes and freebies such as shirts for the crowd throughout the day as the energy kept building. Indeed, the training sessions on the slopes and the energetic vibe are providing foreshadowing for what should go off as a lively event tomorrow."

The Dirty Heads will be headlining Saturday night for Grenade Games 8.  It's a show not to be missed!

As I type this The Grenade crew is on the hill getting things ready for the weekend.  On top of it all, some choice weather is in the forecast.  Enjoy mild spring temperatures with highs in the 50s on Saturday and 40s on Sunday.  Possible showers on Sunday with the snow level at 7,000 feet to start, then lowing to 5,000.

YOUR PRESENCE: MANDATORY! GRENADE GAMES 8. March 24th & 25th at Bear Mountain.
